East Coast of United States Braces For Hurricane Chris

Meteorologists confirmed Tropical Storm Chris became a Category 1 hurricane late Tuesday afternoon off the east coast of the United States, making it the second hurricane of this 2018’s Atlantic hurricane season, according to USA Today. Chris currently poses no direct threat at making landfall in the U.S. aside from creating some rough seas along the coast, but the storm system could end up in Newfoundland, Canada, later this week.
